A developer with a dream
Le Domaine des Berges is the brainchild of partners who have a vast array of experience in real estate markets right across North America. The principals of this project are also principals in H&R Development, a major developer and builder of upscale projects in the Toronto region. From its humble beginnings as a family run company founded in 1952, today—a full five decades later—H&R Development has to its credit hundreds of properties and a dozen or so major residential communities throughout the Greater Toronto Area, including the following projects:

John Garabedian, the main partner and promoter of the Domaine des Berges project in Ste-Dorothée, is a local real estate pioneer with experience in real estate markets throughout Canada and, recently, in the USA. Honoured with the CCIM designation (Certified Commercial Investment Member), John is acknowledged for his expertise in real estate recognition and the acquisition of promising sites for residential or commercial development. "If scarcity creates value in real estate, then there’s no better place to invest than right here. This is the last luxury waterfront development in all of St-Dorothée, confirms Mr.Garabedian, there are simply no more of these sites left.”
John seized the opportunity to develop this site, having seen the progress and expansion of Ste-Dorothée firsthand. He has lived in the area for 18 years and can think of no better place to raise his young family based, among others, on having immediate access to medical clinics, pharmacies, grocery stores, hardware stores, restaurants and banks. As he likes to put it: “What else could anyone ask for?” John and his wife have been active in the community and with charitable organizations linked to figure skating, a sport practiced by their three daughters.
